South View Green site plan

Out of the blue, Tory controlled Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is proposing that part of the green at South View Road and Holmewood Road be used to build six semi detached homes. Access is suggested to be from Holmewood Road. The land to be used is designated as recreational land under the Local Plan. The planning application has been submitted and members of the public have until Tuesday 23rd October to make comments on the plans.

The Council have put on hold for a few years the idea of improving this area for recreational purposes. This should be their priority not using part of the site for housing.
