I would like to thank everyone who voted for me in the recent council by-election, and everyone in Southborough for the wonderful reception I received on doorsteps.
I would also like say a big thank you for all the amazing work that local volunteers put in to the campaign.
We were all stunned by the surge in support. Even though we didn’t win this time we’ll keep standing up for local people.

Election result, Southborough North, 10th September 2015 (% change on result on 7th May 2015):

Joe Simmonds (Con)         483   44% (-14%)
Trevor Poile (Lib Dem)     434   39% (+24%)
William O’Shea (UKIP)     188   17% (+6%)

Swing from Conservative to Liberal Democrat  +19%
