The planning application to erect seven houses at The Haven and land rear of Veryan in Vauxhall Lane has been withdrawn by the applicant. The Town Council when consulted on these plans said that they should be refused on the grounds that it was an over intensive use of site and that the infrastructure was inadequate with regards to the access onto Vauxhall Lane and the disposal of sewerage. I supported these comments.

Clearly the planners at the Borough Council also have their concerns and it remains to be seen whether another application will be submitted for this site.
