Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is consulting on a Draft Air Quality Action Plan for the Air Quality Management Area created in 2005. This was set up in response to poor air quality along the A26 London Road. It starts from between its junctions with Pennington Road and Park Road and goes right into Tunbridge Wells. Though this draft document contains some interesting proposals we can only hope that it does actually produce results on reducing congestion on the A26 compared to the past ten years of inaction from the Tory Council.

Southborough Town Council will be considering its views on the document at the Finance and General Purposes Committee on Thursday 18th September.

The deadline for comments is 31st October.
